This software, developed by OCEANIDE, allows the analysis of waves or wind seas using data from ship observations or data collected by means of oceanographic buoy. In the case of ship observations, the software starts with a data chronological sorting. The calculation is done assuming that :

• The observations are uniformly distributed
• Each observation is representative of a given sea state
• Each sea states are independent of the others

The following parameters can be adjusted or selected:

• A period of study.
• A zone of study.
• The selection of the parameters to be analyzed (wind, wind sea and/or waves)

The software performs the checking of the maximum of steepness and period.

The results of the software are:

• Height / period correlogram.
• Height / direction correlogram.
• Period / direction correlogram
• Statistic calculation following exponential or Weibull distribution for the assessment of the extreme wave height and for a given return period
