Numerical model of Sedimentology « SISYPHE »

Detailed description :

The model of sedimentology SISYPHE is a bi-dimensional horizontal code which calculates the bed load transport or the total sediment transport under acting currents and waves. It can be used with no-cohesive sediments and with sediments that have variable size of particle (from .1 to 4 mm). Input data are :

  • Irregular waves (wave spectrum) and/or speed of current.
  • Digitized bathymetry from available marine maps and interpolated at each node of a triangular mesh created with the MATISSE software.

The results can be post processed with the RUBENS module that offers the user graphs for analyzing the results of simulations.
