TELEMAC 2D software allows to model The currents of tide and/or heave. It solves equations of Blocking of Saint - Coming to two horizontal dimensions of areas. It is inserted into the library of the numerical codes of hydraulic in the surface free from the system TELEMAC of the National Laboratory of Hydraulic.

Different modelled physical phenomena are :

• the spread of the long waves
• intermediary rubbings on the bottom
• the influence of meteorological phenomena
• torrential and fluvial flows
• the discovering benches, the zones of cuttlefish
• the taking into account of the currents of heave

The bathymétrie is digitized from available cards and interpolated in the knots of a triangular mesh size created with the aid of software MATISSE.

A graphic presentation of results is accomplished with the aid of software RUBENS. It can contain :

• iso-high curves introducing the level of the free surface (cf. example below)
• iso-high curves introducing the speed of currents
• fields of vector pointing out direction and intensity of currents
