General presentation
Created in 1986, OCEANIDE is an engineering company working in offshore and coastal engineering. Located at La Seyne sur mer (South of France), OCEANIDE is based on a full experienced permanent team of 19 members, softwares and numerical modeling tools and combination of test tanks unique in France. Finally, OCEANIDE developed a close relationship with Research and Development centers (universities and engineering schools) to perform a large amount of research activity. Oceanide is a member of the competitiveness clusters “Mer PACA”
Coastal engineering
OCEANIDE performs coastal engineering works for both local authorities and private companies in the framework of coastal development and important projects in shallow water.
OCEANIDE’s capacities are ranging from expertise to project management including engineering. Its experts cover the following areas, with the help of physical and numerical modeling: hydrodynamics, currentology, sedimentology, design and dimensioning of harbor structures protection structures or submarine outlet.
Offshore
Since July 1998, OCEANIDE operates the BGO FIRST. This basin is used for offshore engineering purpose, it allows the simulation of environmental conditions (waves, current and wind) acting on fixed or mobile structures (offshore platforms, ships, renewable energy systems …) and thus to help in the sizing of these structures or in the adjustment of marine operations. The tests on models performed in the BGO represent one of the major activities of OCEANIDE with more than 150 tests completed to date both for French and foreign industrial companies and for research.
Offshore news
OCEANIDE has developed its own system of 6D motions generation. It allows the performance of forced oscillation tests movements on model. Its geometry can be adapted following the models to be tested.
Coastal engineering news
OCEANIDE is currently carrying out the studies and tests for the Port Autonome de Dunkerque on its terminal tanker project, studies on the development of the Ancient Harbor of St Raphaël and project management for the reinforcement and the rehabilitation of the protection dykes for the Bandol harbor.
